About a decade ago, Nithya Rajendran had a vision of a tree in her day dreams.. A tree with branches that reach out to people and offer shelter, shade and a safe space to one and all. With no bias or judgement. When she came to, she realised that thus was her higher self talking to her. It was asking her to use her love for music, spirituality and people to reach out to attempt to uplift lives. Thus was born Music Vruksh.

With its overarching theme ‘ Medling Classical Music with Emotional Wellness, Spirituality and Compassion’ , it aims high. To bring to humankind a priceless access. An access to one’s deeper sense of peace and joy through the medium of Classical Music.
Music Vruksh is a thriving online and offline academy which has a very talented and accomplished team of performing musicians imparting high quality classical and semi classical music education to all age groups and learner levels. Students get to showcase their learning every year on stage in prestigious venues like The World Trade Center and Y.B.CHAVAN Rangaswar auditorium and The Radio Club Mumbai through the annual MUSIC VRUKSH BAITHAK. International and out station students also get to perform in the online version of this lovely event. Every person within the Music Vruksh umbrella gets an opportunity to sing on stage and build not only his ir her musical skill but confidence too.
The Music Vruksh Baithak also showcases professional performances by the Music Vruksh team led by Nithya Rajendran which primarily showcases classical music of both forms Hindustani and Carnatic in foot tapping and innovative medley composed by her.
With students from inside Mumbai and outside cities like Pune, Bangalore, Delhi among many others and international students having logged in from The United States of America, Dubai UAE, Sweden, Italy among others, Music Vruksh trying to reach far and wide trying to get Indian Classical Music learning to be accessible.
Under the banner Nithya has gone far and wide to spread the message of the accessibility and the soothing, spiritual potential of Indian Classical music. Through Tedx talks and demonstrations Music Vruksh has already reached out to schools and colleges including IIT JODHPUR, CMRIT HYDERABAD, KPRIT HYDERABAD, VJTI MUMBAI, THE FURTADOS SCHOOL OF MUSIC among others to spread this message amount the youth and initiate them into classical music. Talking to people and disarming them is the first step into welcoming them into the world of Indian Classical Music that tends to intimidate many lay ears.
Nithya Rajendran brings under this offering of Music Vruksh some wonderful innovate concert demonstrations which are a heady mix of talk and music. A format that helps and guides people into understanding and appreciating Indian Classical Music of both forms.
From demonstrations in SOBO fest World Trade Center to Bits Pilani Goa, from The FURTADOS SCHOOL OF MUSIC to Indian Music Group (Xavier college Mumbai) among many others, Music Vruksh uses this format to coax and cajole people lovingly into classical Music afficiomados with enormous success rate. Her online concert demonstrations at The Maritime University for instance was a but hit, that left people humming their way out.
Indian Classical Music’s two dominant forms have never been accessible on the same stage except through double artist jugabandis so far. Nithya Rajendran through a dual Indian Classical Vocalist of both Hindustani and Carnatic music does something unique under the Music Vruksh banner. She brings together on stage these two rich independent forms , though common Ragas in both. This gives the audiences an opportunity to enjoy and appreciate both forms, irrespective of what format they’re already familiar with.
A high-grade dual certified All India Radio artist, a Tedx speaker and a Spic Macay empanelled Classical musician for concert demonstration outreach programmes, with extensive training in both forms, Nithya brings forth experience of a heady confluence of these two rich forms with respective accompanying artists in her themaric concerts. People of all walks, ages and musical levels, enjoy a musical journey across the two sides of the Vindhyas and hear what we say so often about India… Unity in Diversity!
